The Calgary Sexual Health Centre offers a variety of counselling and education services for people of all ages. They specialize in dealing with all areas of sexuality, including gender identity, sexual orientation, healthy sexuality after trauma, pregnancy (all options counselling), post-abortion support, and couples counselling. Evening appointments are available.

CCASA has a variety of programs and services that provide counselling and crisis support to individuals and their support persons who have been impacted by sexual violence. These programs include the PACES program, which provides specialized information, education, and support to survivors of sexual assault and their families as they navigate the legal system, as well as crisis intervention, counselling, education, and advocacy programs.

The Distress Centre ensures everyone has a place to turn to in a time of crisis by providing 24-hour crisis support, professional counselling, and referrals, all at no cost. If you’re not comfortable using the phone, or would prefer to talk with someone online about your problems, the Distress Centre has an online crisis chat option available on their website from 3pm-10pm daily.

If you have been sexually assaulted within the last 96 hours, the Sexual Assault Response Team at the Sheldon Chumir Health Centre can help. Here, registered nurses, doctors, and crisis counsellors from CCASA can offer medical treatment, emotional support, and education about options. Medical care includes treating or preventing sexually transmitted infections, pregnancy and other health concerns, follow-up testing and referrals to other health care services.
